Short-stay tax challenges small towns

Holidaymakers wanting to spend time in short-stay properties in Victoria could be looking at a 7.5 per cent increase in total booking fees.

A short-stay levy has been proposed by the Victorian Government to be implemented as ofJanuary 2025, leaving local in some towns uncertain what it means for tourism and housing. Elke De Smet reports.
